What is automatic delivery? At Country Oil we monitor degree days, which are a measurement of temperature highs and lows each day. After an accumulation of a certain amount of degree days a ticket is processed for a delivery. This is the best way for our customers who want a convenient way to heat their home. It is the companies responsibility to make sure each customer has a sufficient amount of oil in their tanks throughout the year. Automatic delivery is a free service offered by Country Oil.
What is a will-call customer and if I am a will-call customer when should I order oil? This customer monitors his/her own oil supply, and when the tank reaches approximately 1/4 full the customer must call for a delivery. A delivery will then be dispatched within 36 hours from the time of the call (excluding weekends). Will call customers may incur a delivery charge for same day delivery if you are completely out of oil and call during normal business hours. *150 Gallon minimum delivery.

What if I have no heat? Step 1: Check emergency switch Step 2: Check oil tank to ensure a supply of oil Step 3: Check fuses or circuit breakers Step 4: If their is still no heat, call for a service technician. Step 5: If oil tank is on empty, call for delivery.
What if I run out of oil after normal business hours? If you are a will-call customer, this can get expensive. This means you did not monitor your oil tank and the company must dispatch an oil driver to fill your tank. Once this is complete, a burner technician must be dispatched to re-light your furnace. All these services can cost in excess of $150.
If you are an automatic delivery customer, there are no charges for all services listed above. It was the oil company's responsibility to keep your oil supply constant.
What is the daily posted cash price? The daily posted cash price is for cash payments made within 10 days of delivery. The daily posted price is for payments not received within ten days of delivery.
What is Pre-Paid? Pre-paid is a fixed price for a specified amount of oil during the year. This ensures the customer that he/she will not get involved with any fluctuations in the marketplace within the next fiscal year. The program ends in May.
What is a budget program? This program is similar to pre-paid, We take the amount of oil you use in one year and multiply it by the price of the oil, and divide it by ten months for the budget pay program .
For example, 1000 gals. x $4.75 = $4750.00 $4750.00 divided by 10 = $475.00 per month These payments are due on the 15th of each month and the last payment is due April 15th.
What are my payment options? Country Oil offers our customers a variety of payment options. Customers can make a cash payment by visiting our office anytime, and we will be happy to see you! Customers may have a credit card on their account file that will automatically be charged at each point of sale (oil delivery or service). Country Oil accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Customers may call our office at 1-800-327-9992 to make a payment by credit card over the phone.
Country Oil customers now have the option to make payments online. Visit the "Bill Payment" page of our website and make a secure payment online using your Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express card. Customers who have a PayPal account can also make an instant payment using their bank account. A Paypal account is not required to make online payments, only instant bank transfers. American Express is only accepted online.
Will I ever talk to a machine? At Country Oil we use no voice mail or answering machines. Our office personnel will thank you for calling from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Our answering service is manned by personnel answering the telephone from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. This ensures that our customers are giving us all the information possible on a personal level and ensures customer satisfaction. This is how our company has kept its "old-fashioned values": by listening to our customers and having a personal touch - like it was in the "good old days."
What is Arctic Blend? This is a winterized fuel used in outside tanks to ensure that gelling of the fuel does not occur.
What is Winterized Premium Diesel? This is a blended premium product used in equipment for complete winterized operation. We use the highest specification diesel for our own fleet as well as yours. This diesel fuel is used at ski-resorts for snow groomers and several trucking operations throughout Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
What is the Tank Protection Program? Participating in the Tank Protection Program includes a corrosion protection device, and in the event you should have a leak, we will replace your tank free of charge. This can be up to a $1500 value for only pennies per day. Visit http://www.tank-guard.com/homeowners/index.html for more information about the Tank-Guard program. Country Oil customers can enroll in the Tank Guard program for $38.95 (plus tax) by calling our office.
Do you participate in Fuel Assistance or Citizens Energy? Country Oil does participate in the Fuel Assistance and Citizens Energy programs. Customers can contact their respective fuel assistance office listed below to apply for eligibility.
